 Class Enrolments (Children)
Classes are conducted during the four school terms each year. Class duration is 30 minutes, except for Squads (1 hour).
Enrolments are ongoing from term to term, until such time as you advise
us that you need to change your class time or that your child will be
taking a break from swimming lessons.
Should you wish to change your class time for the following term, you
will need to advise us by the end of Week 8, and we will do our best to
satisfy your preferences.
(Please note that if you should decide to take a break but neglect to
advise us, you will need to pay for any lessons missed prior to the
time that you do advise us).
Proprietors reserve the right at their discretion to cancel an
enrolment due to fees arrears, behavioural issues or repeated
non-attendance.
Cancellations and Catch-ups (Children)
If advice of non-attendance is received by 9pm on the day before, there
is no charge for the missed lesson (Maximum 2 unpaid lessons per term).
It is preferable to then arrange a catch-up lesson within a week or two
so that skills development momentum is maintained, however if this
proves difficult we are prepared if necessary to carry-forward up to
two pre-paid lesson credits per child at the end of a term, provided
their enrolment is continuing for the following term.
If advice of non-attendance is received on lesson day (and at least an
hour before class time), that is classed as ‘late notice.’ This means
that you will still be charged for that lesson, but will receive a
‘catch-up credit’ (which may be used for an extra lesson at any
mutually convenient time up to the end of that term).
(Please bear in mind that any messages left on our landline are not received by us until we next return home from the pool).
There are no ‘catch-ups’ for any missed ‘catch-up’ lessons.
Assessments
Initial
assessment of the skills level of new students is normally conducted at
the start of their first lesson. If preferred, an earlier complimentary
5-minute assessment session can be arranged.
Every student is continuously assessed individually, and promoted to the next level as soon as they are ready.
